How to Use Zoom for Classroom Wireless Presentation
Purpose
This document provides step-by-step instructions for using Zoom with a classroom AV system so students and other contributors can wirelessly share digital content, including documents, whiteboards, videos, presentations, and websites.
Scope
This document applies to Palomar College classroom users who use the lectern Windows PC and Zoom for wireless presentation and screen sharing.
Procedure
Step 1 - Turn On the Classroom AV System
From the lectern touch screen control panel, turn on the AV system.

Step 2 - Sign In to the Lectern Windows PC
Log in to the Windows PC using your Palomar credentials.
Note: If the PC does not appear on the projector or computer monitor, physically turn on the computer using the power button on the front of the computer below the keyboard tray.
Step 3 - Confirm the PC Video Source
The AV system will default to the lectern Windows PC as the video source.
Note: If you switched from another video source, such as the document camera, select PC as the input source on the left side of the touch panel.

Step 4 - Start a Zoom Session
Create and start a new Zoom session.
Note the Zoom Meeting ID or passcode if a passcode is enabled.
Step 5 - Have Students or Contributors Join
Students and other contributors must join Palomar WiFi to connect to the internet.
Have them join the Zoom session that is already in progress.
Step 6 - Share a Screen or Application
After joining the Zoom session, students or contributors can select Share Screen to share their screen or a specific application.

Step 7 - Stop Sharing
Select Stop Share when you are finished sharing content.
